Jobsearch.gov.au is probably the worst board out there for Australian job seekers - worse by far than a lot of the commercial ones (which is why I prefer going through Seek.com.au wherever possible). Basically, they get most of their data via scraping the screens of other employment boards, and they don't bother to verify any of it before dumping it out onto their site. I can actually understand why they do it - it's a combination of "not enough staff time to check things" and "disdain for the unemployed as government policy". Basically, the people at the top don't see any value in making things easy for the unemployed, so they aren't going to waste government resources on things like ensuring that jobs advertised on their site are genuine, legitimate, or even filed under the correct heading (when I'm looking under "Administration and Office Support" and finding jobs for fast food staff, child-care workers, and university-level academics, there's definitely a lack of checking going on).
