I don't think it will ever lose relevance as long as there's anyone who thinks it must be easy to monetize fanfiction, and the reason so many fans haven't done it over the years is purely because we're stupid.

Maybe it's time to write a sequel... wherein the Mouse of the House is the thing to be feared.
