It's interesting to consider how many of these apparently pointless criteria are basically an effort to get the Right Kind of People applying for jobs. Things like "reliable vehicle" or "own transport" are an interesting one there, because on the one hand, yeah, public transport to most of Perth's industrial areas is absolutely useless; but on the other hand, if you're wanting to screen out people on low incomes from applying, it's a good one to use.
