Ankle Updates
Well, the scan results came back, and the diagnosis is tendinosis in the peroneus brevis muscle. Which, once you strip the fancy latin away, means "your ankle hurts because the tendon is inflamed where it's attaching a muscle to the bones in your ankle". I'm seeing a physiotherapist (first appointment was last Monday, another one this coming Monday) and I've been prescribed some exercises to build up strength in the muscles and hold things together. The muscle affected is one of the ones which helps your foot tilt up and down (which is why driving has been so uncomfortable) as well as controlling the foot turning outward and inward. I've also been told I'm allowed to do utility walking (getting from a to b) but I should skip exercise walking for now, as well as driving. She also strapped up my ankle a bit, to add a bit of support to things.
At present I'm getting to and from work with the assistance of my partner, who is driving me in, dropping me off, driving home and then returning to pick me up again in the afternoon, which is very sweet of him. Hopefully things will be repairing themselves relatively soon.
