Thanks for the offer. I've had a couple of people at work offer to do the same thing for me.

Unfortunately, the thing which is the biggest problem with other people doing the shopping for me is I have to basically condense three lists in my head ("things I regularly buy", "things I might pick up if they're on special", and "things I won't buy because they're disliked for whatever reason") and one physical list ("things we need this week") into something that someone else can use, which often means getting right down to brands, quantities, and explanations like "this is something we really need, so buy it regardless of the price", "this is something where you get whatever's cheapest" and "this can be skipped or ignored, it's only there because I fancied some this week and it's on special" and similar. This is actually more cognitive load and stress than going out into the store and picking the things off the shelves myself, no matter how miserable I'm feeling.
