On My 40th Birthday I...

Washed up the dishes (and cleared the backlog of dirty dishes, yay!)
Collected the junk mail delivery from the driveway, read it, and dumped it all in the recyling box
Thought about making a chocolate mud cake (and decided to put it off for a bit)
Told the local JWs I wasn't interested in a copy of the Watchtower (or whichever publication God is pressing them to sell at present)
Brought in the washing from the clothesline
Added a few more cookbooks worth of data to my ongoing list of "recipes I'd like to try".
Noodled around on the internet a little
Answered a phone call

(really glamorous way to spend the day, huh?)

Sounds reminiscent of my 40th:

Got up
Fed cats, fed myself
Talked to Mother.
Noodled about on internet.
Went shopping for groceries (nothing interesting like stuff for me or anything)
Did housework.
Fed self and cats again.
Watched postman as he zoomed past without leaving any mail.
More internet noodling.
Played PS3 for a bit.
Greeted hubby as he arrived home from work.
Cooked dinner.
Ate dinner and opened card from the DH.
Did dishes.
Watched tv.
Went to bed.

Much like most days around here...*shrugs*

And Himself's getting a week in Sydney and Distant Worlds at the Sydney Opera House for his (in 10 days)... but at least I don't have to cook or do housework or washing or ironing or shopping for a week :/

I did post a birthday message for you, but I guess you didn't see it :(
